For those of you screaming for some new pictures.....

Things are going well with us. Winter and I are getting used to having a 3rd family member in the family. The nights seem to be going better than when we first started, though Winter is the one who has to get up more often than I do. I guess thats the benefits of not having breasts :).

Well, it's been 1 week since the birth of Mila. Things are going very well. Winter is having a great recovery from the C-section, and Mila is getting cuter by the minute. The whole taking care of baby thing hasn't been as bad as I thought it would. Mila has had a few nights where she is up for an hour or so being fussy, but other than that I have no complaints. We are very fortunate to have Cindy (Winters Mom) here to help us. She has been cooking and cleaning, which is a huge relief off of both of us.

I will try and get more pictures online as soon as I can.

Mila Virginia Prahl

Mila (pronounced Mee Laa) Virginia Prahl was born 3/5/08 @ 12:01 AM weight of 7lbs 7.7oz and 20.5 inches in length.

Winter, Mila and I are finally home. We were allowed to leave the Hospital this afternoon. Winter unfortunately had to get an emergency C-section, so our hospital stay had to be an extra day. Her recovery is going very well, and Mila is already gaining weight. She was last weighed in at 7lbs 11oz.

Everyone at the hospital was great. We have noting but good things to say about the staff at the Livingston Memorial Hospital. They were all very accommodating and considerate.

Grandma Huber (though she wants to be called Auntie Cindy) has been taking a ton of pictures, and as soon as I get her pictures i will try and post them online.

Well that's all for now. Both Winter and I are tired and trying to recover from a crazy 72 hours.

New Member of the Prahl family

Well it finally happened.  Winter and i are the proud parents of a baby girl.  Born 3/5/08 12:01AM.  7lbs 7.7 oz 20.5 inches long.  We have decided on a name yet...we'll let everyone know when we do...

More details to come, in the mean time here are some teasers....:)

She was born on the 5th. The website is in the west coast.

Progress?

After Doctor appt on Friday they asked us to stop by the hospital to get hooked up the the fetal monitor to make sure the baby is doing well.  So  The monitor itself wasn't as constrictive as we thought it would be.  Baiscally it's just 2 straps that go across the belly.  one strap reads the Heart rate of the baby and the other reads contraction of the uterus.  After about an hour sitting there we got enough pulse readings to get the ok to go home.

Last night Winter was having contractions every 15 minutes or so, but when we got up this AM, things seemed to settle down.  We're thinking that maybe, just maybe we'll have this thing tonight or tomorrow AM.  Only time will tell.
